International Conference of Indian Association for South Asian Studies on Subalterns in South Asia Held at KIIT

  A two-day International Conference of the Indian Association for South Asian Studies (IASAS) on Subalterns in South Asia, organized jointly by the Centre for Alternative Studies in Social Sciences (CASSS), New Delhi, and KIIT-DU , was held on June 21–22, 2024. Prof. Alain Désoulières from Sorbonne Université, Paris, delivered the keynote address, in which he spoke about two subaltern classes, lascars and sipāhis, during the 18th Century Anglo-French war. Prof. Namhyun Kim, Associate Professor at Dongguk University WISE from South Korea, spoke about the importance of sustainable tourism and its relevance in modern times. KISS-DU Inks MoU with ISTE

  The   Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences  (KISS) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi on 23rd June 2024. The signing ceremony was followed by the launching of Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Programme at KISS. This momentous occasion was graced by Professor Pratapsinh K. Desai, President of ISTE, Dr. Syed Majid Ali, Executive Secretary, senior functionaries and faculty members from KISS-DU. Another feather was added to KISS’s cap as it became an institutional member of ISTE strengthening its commitment to educational excellence and innovation.
